Elizabeth Olsen, who plays the role of Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), has expressed her desire for Wanda to be redeemed following the events of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Wanda’s Dark Path

By the end of WandaVision, Wanda Maximoff had enslaved an entire town to create a delusional family life after the death of her loved one. Later, she went up against Doctor Strange, trying to be reunited with her lost family, almost murdering a child, and killing Earth-838’s Illuminati before being taken down.

Elizabeth Olsen’s Hopes For Wanda Redemption

In an interview, Elizabeth Olsen said that she hopes Marvel Studios can redeem Wanda and introduce more humor to the character. Olsen feels that playing Wanda over the years has taught her how to approach character and storytelling in challenging ways, which has opened up new opportunities for the narrative.

Redemption Possibilities

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige hinted that Wanda might return, despite appearing to have died in Multiverse of Madness. Olsen also seems to think she will return for Kathryn Hahn’s streaming project, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, which also brings back Billy. Another possibility could be the Vision Quest series, but it may take a while before it lands on Disney+.
